The Colors of Fall
This is a Thanksgiving card that I created for two challenges. The first is the EstyInspired Challenge #61. The challenge was to find inspiration nature photography from Jared In Kansas. Looking through the gallery I was inspired by this image. I tried to use the colors of the dandelion in the bow.
I'm also entering this in "Just Us Girls" Week 6 Sketch Challenge. I flipped it around and played with it a bit!
Materials Used: Cardstock, Bo Bunny patterned paper, Martha Stewart Craft Glue, Martha Stewart tinsel glitter "fire opal", Martha Stewart Embossing Pad, Martha Stewart Embossing Ink, Hampton Arts Clear Stamps, velvet brown ribbon, Gold leaf from Micheal's
Hope you enjoy!

FIL's 60th B-day
I hope I'm not too late to enter this to the One Stop Craft Challenge #53. I took a lot of time on this LO, probably because we had such a busy week! One of my favorite things about this challenge was HOW to go about using the text...I wanted it to matter and be a key focal point of the design, but not overwhealming.
Fun Fact: The tissue paper I used is left over from the tissue I packaged his gift in! I thought it was too beautiful to throw away.
Materials Used: Basic Grey Cardstock, Velvet Ribbon, Tissue Paper, Martha Stewarts Glitter Glue, multi-color beads (I was so excited to use them, I threw away the packaging..whoops) American Crafts Thickers in "Sprinkles", Staz On Ink "jet black", Making Memories stamps, Photoshoped definations and journal line.

My current computer background
I was having fun using digital scrapbooking freebies and created this LO for my computer background.
Since I don't yet have a sewing machine (sad, I know) this is the most realistic stitching I can do! lol
Freebies from Feistuff Crazy Beautiful
PS: Having a difficult time using Picasa to upload straight to blogger. No idea what's going on there!

I like giving presents
I LOVE giving presents! Yes, I put a lot of thought into the actual present but I think my favorite part is wrapping the present and giving it! I'm almost anal about how perfect I want it to look. I don't care if it's the coolest gift, but it better be the best looking gift!
Here is the gift we gave to my hubby's dad for his 60th birthday tonight.
First, I love the tissue paper and kept a piece to use in an upcoming project. I also placed a Bingo Card on the bag and embossed a red square to highlight the number 60.
I, for one, was very pleased with the presentation.

A Simple Thank You
I believe that when you share your thanks in a unique way or a even pass a smile -- it encourages others to make other people feel good in their own way. I used this card to make someone smile and realize how much I appreciated them. I am also submitting this to the stamping sisters Challenge #10 - I Chronicles 16:34.
Fall in Phoenix
Here is my layout for the 10.22 Challenge at Sketchy Thursdays. I had fun with this one..used lots of different mediums, including paint, mist and chipboard.

Happy Fall
Here is a door hanger I created to celebrate fall! I used my October kit from Scrap for a Cure and am entering it in The Second Chance Challenge at Sketchy Thursdays. The challenge was fall with a POP of color. I didn't go too crazy but I used Teal in the background paper and a button. I like the way it turned out!

Time Fly's
My first contribution to a challenge! And I'm going to submit to three challenges! Go big or go home, right?
To create this card I used the Card Patterns Sketch 37 The team at CardPatterns provided some major inspiration.
I'm also submitting this design to the Card-A-Licious Challenge 29. The challenge was to create a card using only three items. I choose cardstock, ribbon and a button. (Hoping ink and glue doesn't count! hehe)
And last, but not least, Moxie Fab World has an amazing challenge going on incorporating ruffles! You can see I used the lace to create a ruffle effect. The picture they posted of the Frill Seeker Satchel from Anthropologie was my inspiration! Loved it!
So here is my card! Hope you like! And maybe, just maybe I'll win something!
Materials include:Digital Papers printed from Danielle's Designs, Lace, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Sandpaper

Using Overlays to create Texture
Studio Calico has a great tutorial up on how to add overlays to your photos -- creating a beautiful new look. Here is the overlay I did using a picture of our rose bushes shadow. I thought it would be neat to overlay it using a leaf texture.
*I would credit the overlay image but I've had it on file for so long I don't remember where I grabbed it. Read Studio Calico's blog and try it! It's fun!

Misting Titles
I recently read all about misting and different uses for them. I used the technique to scrap a 12 x 12 layout of our weekend visit to Sedona. I need a box for my misting projects -- husband doesn't like that our patio is now blue! Whoops!
An idea to share...I had so many beautiful pictures I needed to scrap, so I incorporated the picture of the tree, lightened the background using Photoshop and used one of my fave fonts to outline our trip.
Here is a close up of just the journal tag:
